X Premium Gifting

As an X Premium subscriber, you can gift X Premium or Premium+ to anyone who isn’t yet subscribed – as a little treat.

 

How do I gift a subscription?

To gift X Premium or Premium+

  • Go to any* non-Premium account’s profile on x.com and tap the gift icon
  • Choose either Premium or Premium+ and tap the 'Gift & Pay' button and complete payment
  • The recipient of your gift will receive a notification and receive the gift

*Please note: You are responsible to comply with any laws, rules, and regulations. For example, you are solely responsible to comply with any political contribution and political advertisement laws and regulations. X, in its sole discretion, may deny the gift subscription to any recipient and such gift subscription will be non-refundable.

X reserves the right to take any action, including removing a purchaser and a recipient from X Premium, suspending an account, or any other action, for violations of its Terms, policies, or for legal, business, or financial reasons.

Will people see if I have gifted someone a subscription?

A notification will be sent to the recipient of the gift, and they will be notified that you purchased the gift for them.

How do I pay for gift subscriptions?

The same checkout flow for Premium subscriptions is used. Gifting Premium subscriptions is currently only available on x.com. Only the annual terms of Premium and Premium+ are available to be gifted.

When will I get charged if I buy a gift subscription?

The full purchase price for a gift subscription is charged at the time of purchase and is nonrefundable. Taxes may apply. 

Is a gift subscription refundable?

No. All purchases are final. The gift subscription is not replaceable, is good for one-time use only, cannot be combined with another offer and has no cash or stored value. No balance remains after use. 

Can I gift a recurring subscription?

No. Gifts are a one-time purchase and not a recurring subscription.

When will the recipient receive a gift of X Premium?

The recipient will receive a notification that they have been gifted Premium immediately once you’ve completed payment. The purchase period begins immediately once payment has been completed. The recipient’s account is subject to the same review process as any X Premium subscriber. The safety and security reviews of the recipient begins after payment has been completed and after review, a checkmark will be added. A gift subscription recipient must also acknowledge our Terms and policies. 

What happens if the recipient doesn’t meet any eligibility criteria or otherwise rejects the gift subscription?

If the recipient doesn’t meet our eligibility criteria, cancels the X Premium subscription or does not acknowledge our Terms or policies, the gift subscription will be canceled. The gift subscription will still be deemed completed and will no longer be redeemable. 

X reserves the right to take any action, including removing a purchaser and a recipient from X Premium, suspending an account, or any other appropriate action, for violations of its Terms, policies, or for legal, business, or financial reasons.

What happens if I receive a gift subscription?

For those who received the gift, you’ll be subject to the same verification process as other users. Once X completes its X Premium subscription and safety and security reviews, you’ll be assigned the gift subscription, you’ll get a blue checkmark, and receive a notice to acknowledge our Terms and policies.

What happens if I don’t want to receive a gift subscription?

Click here to manage or cancel your subscription. 

Will I be charged after my gift subscription expires?

No. Gifts are a one-time purchase and not a recurring subscription. You will need to start a new subscription. 

Is there a limit to how many Premium gifts I can give?

Yes, you can purchase up to 3 Premium gifts per day.
