How to share a Post

Sharing a post privately is easy. You have the option to share via Direct Message with your followers, or through an SMS or email to your contacts from your phone’s address book.

To share a Post via Direct Message

Tap on the share icon from a Post on your Home timeline or from a Post detail.
Note: A protected Post cannot be shared through a Direct Message.
Choose a recipient from the quick-share list of the accounts you most frequently message with. Or tap the Search for people and groups option to type in the account(s) you wish to send a message to.
You have the option to Add a comment to your message.
Tap Send.

To share a Post via SMS or email

Tap the share icon from a Post on your Home timeline or from a Post detail.
From the pop-up menu, select Share Post via…
To send via SMS, select your SMS application and add the contacts you wish to send the Post to.
To send via email, select your email client and enter the email address(es) of the people you wish to email the Post to.
You can choose to add a comment to the SMS or email.
Tap Send.
