Grok Bot Template Rewards Pilot Program

Grok Bot Template Rewards is an invite-only pilot from X that rewards creators whose Grok Bot templates people find useful. Share your templates on X, and when people use them, you may earn rewards paid through X Money.

The program is separate from Original Content Rewards. Being in one doesn't affect the other. Rewards are discretionary. They aren't a revenue share or guaranteed income. By participating after you're invited, you agree to the Grok Bot Template Rewards Pilot Program Terms.

How it works

  1. You get an invitation to the pilot.

  2. You accept the Program Terms and, if you haven’t already, set up X Money, including identity verification and tax info.

  3. You publish templates and share them on X with the paid partnership label.

  4. Every two weeks, X decides whether to reward you and how much. Rewards land in your X Money balance.

How rewards are determined

Each payment period, X decides whether to pay a reward and how much. We look at a wide-range of things, like how many people use your templates and how consistently they keep using them over time, to make our decisions and what we look at can change.

Your own use of your templates, use by accounts associated with you, and use on free trials don't count. Early in the pilot, we may also pay additional amounts to help creators get going.

Who can participate

The pilot is invite-only. To be eligible to receive and invite and participate, you'll need to:

  • be 18 or older and located in the United States, in a state where X Money is supported;

  • have a Grok Bot account and an X account in good standing, with a verified email on your Grok Bot account;

  • be subscribed to an eligible X Premium tier or be an affiliate of a Premium Business account; and

  • have X Money set up to receive payments.

You'll also need to meet the other requirements in the Program Terms. An invitation doesn't guarantee a reward.

Getting paid

  • Rewards are determined every two weeks and paid in U.S. dollars through X's regular creator payout run, straight to your X Money balance.

  • Before your first payment, accept the Program Terms and finish X Money onboarding, including identity verification and tax info (Form W-9). If you're already set up for Original Content Rewards, you're good to go.

  • The current minimum payment is shared in your invitation. Rewards below it for a period aren't paid.

  • You're responsible for taxes on what you receive. X may issue tax forms, like a Form 1099, where required.

Sharing your templates on X

  • Share each template in a public X post that includes its share link.

  • Use X's paid partnership label on posts that promote your templates. Since you may be paid in connection with them, the label is required.

  • Keep the post public and unedited for at least 30 days after any payment period it helped you qualify for.

Tips for templates people keep using

Here's what the top templates have in common right now:

  • They're easy for someone brand new to Grok Bot. Have your template give first-time users a quick mini-onboarding.

  • They show, not tell, on X. A short demo video, a before and after screenshot, or a thread walking through your use case beats a bare link.

  • They connect tools and routines. Integrations let a template work on real data, and routines keep it useful day after day.

The use cases seeing the most usage and staying power right now:

  • General knowledge work: handling ops-heavy tasks directly in the tools people already use.

  • Marketing and sales: end-to-end workflows for campaigns and customers.

  • Software development: code orchestration, product QA, and kicking off cloud agents.

What's not allowed

  • Inflating usage of your templates through your own accounts, coordinated accounts, scripts, or paid or incentivized downloads.

  • Using multiple accounts or near-duplicate templates to collect extra rewards.

  • Copying someone else's template, or impersonating a person, brand, or organization.

Breaking these rules can mean forfeiting rewards, repaying past rewards, and removal from the program.

What you can share publicly

You can say you're in the program and share what you've earned. Please keep any non-public details we share about how the program works to yourself.

Leaving the program

You can leave anytime by replying to your program invitation. We may also end your participation for any reason, including if you no longer meet the requirements.

FAQ

Is this the same as Original Content Rewards?

No. It's a separate program with its own eligibility and payments. Rewards are paid by X, not sent from another X account.

Do I apply, or wait for an invite?

The pilot is invite-only. Meeting the requirements above doesn't guarantee an invite or a reward.

Do impressions or likes on my post count?

Rewards aren't based on impressions or likes. Your post is required so people can find your template and to disclose your paid connection.

Why do I need the paid partnership label?

You may be paid in connection with promoting your templates, and the label is how you disclose that.

Can X change how rewards work?

Yes. We'll give reasonable notice before material reductions, except where needed for legal or fraud reasons. 

I'm outside the United States. Can I join?

Not yet. Rewards are paid through X Money, which is currently only available in the United States.
