How it works
- Get invited. Invitations are sent directly to selected creators.
- Enroll in Creator Studio by the enrollment deadline for the period.
- Post 15 qualifying videos on 15 different days before the period ends.
- Get paid. After the period ends, we review your videos. If you qualify, we send your bonus to your payout account.
Program periods
The program runs in periods of about one month. Each period has an enrollment deadline and a last day to post, and you can find both in your invitation and in Creator Studio. All deadlines are in Pacific Time.
Only videos posted after you enroll count, so enroll early to give yourself the most time. If you miss the enrollment deadline, you may be able to enroll when the next period starts.
What you get
- A bonus for each period you complete. You can earn one bonus per period. Your bonus amount is shown in your invitation and in Creator Studio.
- Original Content Rewards. You are enrolled in the Original Content Rewards Program automatically, so your videos can keep earning on >x<.
- Grow faster. More people see your videos, so you grow your audience on >x<.
- Premium+ free for one year. Get a blue checkmark, a bigger reply boost, and no ads in your For You and Following timelines. Available if you do not already have Premium+.
How to earn the bonus
To earn the bonus for a period, you need to meet both goals in the same period:
- 15 qualifying videos
- 15 different posting days. Each posting day is a calendar day in Pacific Time. Posting more than one video in a day still counts as one posting day.
Your videos need to stay up through the end of the period. Videos that are deleted or removed, or that become hidden because your account is switched to protected, stop counting.
What counts as a qualifying video
A qualifying video is:
- Vertical: a 9:16 aspect ratio
- Under 3 minutes long
- Your own: a video you created. Videos you already posted on other platforms, such as Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube, count too, as long as they are yours.
- Posted from your enrolled account after you enroll and during the period
What does not count
A video does not count if:
- It is not your own content
- It is downloaded from another >x< user and reuploaded as yours
- It is a repost or quote post of someone else’s video
- It has another platform’s watermark, name, or logo
- It is claimed by another rights holder
- It is a duplicate of a video you already posted
- It is showing a Community Note rated Helpful
- It has a Paid Partnership label
- Its engagement is inauthentic, such as purchased or artificially boosted views
- It violates the >x< Rules or the Creator Monetization Standards
Examples
These examples assume your videos stay up and pass the final review after the period ends.
How to enroll
- Open Creator Studio in the >x< app.
- Under "Programs," tap "Video Kickstart Bonus."
- Review the program details, then tap "Enroll."
- If you do not have a payout method connected, follow the prompt to set one up.

- How many days you have posted a qualifying video, out of 15
- How many days are left in the period
- Which of your videos qualified
- Your potential bonus for the period
Getting paid
After each period ends, we do a final review of every video you posted during the period, including videos that already showed as qualified in Creator Studio. If you posted 15 qualifying videos on 15 different days, and they are still up, you earn that period’s bonus.
A video that shows as qualified during the period can still be disqualified in the final review, for example if it is claimed by another rights holder or gets a Community Note rated Helpful.
If you earn the bonus, we will send you a notification, and your bonus will be paid in your next Original Content Rewards payout.
Bonuses are paid to the payout account connected in Creator Studio:
- For U.S. users: Payouts are made through >x< Money.
- For non-U.S. users: Payouts are made through a connected Stripe account.
After a period ends
- If you are enrolled, you move into each new period automatically, and your count starts over at 0.
- If you have not enrolled, you may be able to join the next period. Check Creator Studio for its enrollment deadline.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to post every day?
No. You need to post a qualifying video on 15 different days during the period. The days do not need to be in a row. For example, posting a video every other day for a month, or every weekday for three weeks, gets you to 15 posting days.
What if I post more than one video in a day?
All of your qualifying videos count toward your 15 videos, but each calendar day counts as only one posting day.
Do videos I already posted on other platforms count?
Yes, as long as they are your own videos and do not have another platform’s watermark, name, or logo.
Why is my video not showing in my progress bar yet?
Progress can take up to 48 hours to update. If a video still does not appear after that, check that it meets the requirements in What counts as a qualifying video above.
What happens if I delete a video?
A deleted video stops counting toward your progress. To earn the bonus, your qualifying videos need to stay up through the end of the period.
What happens if I do not reach both goals?
You will not receive the bonus for that period. If you are still enrolled when a new period starts, you can try again.
Does the bonus affect my Original Content Rewards earnings?
No. The Video Kickstart Bonus is separate from the Original Content Rewards Program, and your bonus does not change what you earn from Original Content Rewards.
Program terms
Participation in the Video Kickstart Bonus is subject to the Creator Video Kickstart Bonus Terms. >x< may change or end the program at any time.
