Build trust and credibility with affiliate badges

Affiliations let your organization’s representatives showcase their connection to your brand every time they post, send a DM, or appear in search. Affiliates receive a small badge of your organization’s profile picture next to their name, signaling their official connection to your brand.

Affiliations are available in Verified Organization Full Access tiers.

Who can be an affiliate?

Affiliates include trusted individuals or accounts representing your organization, such as:

  • Leadership
  • Journalists
  • Sports teams and players
  • Politicians
  • Customer support representatives
  • Recruiting teams
  • Franchises, sub-brands, or products

Safeguarding against impersonation

Verified accounts for major brands

Major brands and organizations often have checkmarks, to confirm they have gone through eligibility review. This differentiates them from impersonators, building trust among users.

How affiliations add a layer of protection

The affiliation badge works alongside the verification checkmark to combat impersonation by:

  • Clearly linking accounts to your organization.
  • Ensuring users can quickly identify official representatives.

By providing transparency, affiliations strengthen your brand’s presence and protect against fraudulent activity, ensuring trust and authenticity across the platform.

Optimizing logos for the affiliate badge

Your organization’s profile picture is used as the affiliation badge and appears next to names in posts, DMs, and search results. If your logo looks too small or unclear in this context, follow these tips to improve its appearance when resized:

  1. Square Format: Use a 1:1 aspect ratio; 400x400 pixels or higher is recommended.
  2. File Type: Upload as PNG or JPEG, under 2 MB.
  3. Background: Use a transparent or solid color background to ensure the logo stands out.
  4. Centering: Center the logo with sufficient padding around the edges. For small, minimalistic logos, consider reducing padding to make the logo appear larger within the badge.
  5. Clarity: Use high-contrast colors to maintain visibility when scaled down. Avoid fine details that may blur or disappear.
  6. No Text: Avoid text, slogans, or taglines, as these elements may not be legible at smaller sizes.
