How to reactivate your account
If you have deactivated your account, and it’s been less than 30 days, follow the steps below to reactivate your account.
- Visit x.com/login via x.com, or open your X for iOS or Android app.
- Enter your login credentials.
- Before you sign in, you’ll see a notice asking you to confirm if you want to reactivate your account.
- If you choose to reactivate, you’ll be redirected to your Home timeline. Please note that posts, followers, likes, etc., may take a while to fully restore.
When can I use the email address/username from my deactivated account?
The username and email address on a deactivated account are available for use on another account 30 days after the account was deactivated. Within those 30 days, the information remains tied to the deactivated account to allow for reactivation.
I’m trying to reactivate my account but I do not remember my password:
If you do not remember the password to your account, please use the Forgot Password link to reset your password and then proceed with logging in again.
If you are not able to reset your password because you do not have access to the email address or phone number linked to your account, please create a new X account.
