Creator Revenue Sharing
With Creator Revenue Sharing, eligible creators can earn money by creating content on X. Creator Revenue Sharing is available globally to creators who meet the eligibility requirements. See details below.
X may modify or cancel Creator Revenue Sharing at any time in its sole discretion, including for business, financial, or legal reasons. X reserves the right to accept or revoke your participation in Revenue Sharing at its sole discretion, including for business, financial, or legal reasons. Please ensure you comply with the Creator Revenue Sharing Program Terms, which include our Creator Monetization Standards and X Rules, you may be excluded from the program.
You can check if you are eligible in your monetization settings. To be eligible, your account must:
- Have an active Premium, Premium Business, or Premium Organizations subscription
- Have at least 5M organic impressions within the last 3 months
- Have at least 500 verified followers
- Be in a supported country
- Be compliant with the X User Agreement
We reward creators for posting high-quality content that drives meaningful interactions and conversation.
Earnings are influenced by factors such as:
- Verified Home Timeline impressions: Impressions from verified users in the Home timeline carry weight in payout calculations.
- Who views with your content: Who views your content. For example, views from Premium+ subscribers may carry more value than those from Basic subscribers.
- Content format: Different formats may be weighted differently.
Payouts are currently processed every two weeks and the minimum payout is $30. We make payouts through our payment processor, Stripe. Payouts are subject to Stripe’s terms.
Once you are eligible, you’ll need to complete the following steps in your monetization settings to receive payouts:
1. Connect a Stripe payout account
2. Complete identity verification
If X has evidence to believe you may have violated our rules, your account will be suspended from Creator Revenue Sharing. Please review our Creator Monetization Standards prior to appealing. If you're confident you haven't breached these terms, submit an appeal on our Help Center.
Additionally, effective March 3, 2026 users who post AI-generated videos of an armed conflict without adding a disclosure that it was made with AI will be suspended from Creator Revenue Sharing for 90 days. Subsequent violations will result in a permanent suspension of further payments. We may adjust our policy as the armed conflict situation evolves.
